WHAT TO EXPECT
Our church family is multi-generational, with people from different backgrounds and experiences calling Living Way home. When we gather together on Sunday mornings, dress tends to be fairly casual. There is always a mixture of ties and blue jeans, dresses and t-shirts. Complimentary pastries, refreshments, and locally roasted coffee are available beginning at 10 am. This is a great time to gather and perhaps meet some new friends.
Our services begin at 10:30 and—most Sundays—begin with half an hour of corporate singing. We employ both traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs, and there is a great measure of freedom in how our church family expresses their love for God. Some will sit quietly and meditate. Most will stand and sing. Quite a few will raise their hands, while others will not. Some will dance and others may kneel, and a few may choose to lie prostrate before the Lord. Regardless of the mood or atmosphere of the service, our aim is to glorify God in everything that is said and done.
Following this time of singing, we provide an opportunity to give financially to the ministries of Living Way. If you are a guest, please do not feel obligated to give.
The rest of the service is generally devoted to the preaching and teaching of God’s inspired Word. We believe in the importance of expositional preaching. That is to say, we believe in the passionate explanation and relevant application of Holy Scripture, verse by verse. All of the sermons preached at Living Way are available via podcast, so please feel free to have a listen.
A variety of classes are offered for children and youth during the preaching, although you are more than welcome to keep your children with you throughout. Nursery care is provided for infants and toddlers up through two years of age. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We hope to see you soon!
